always friendly. great hot dogs ever. deep fried hot dogs "with the works" and "thick black and whites"(=milkshake)---you'll want more than just one.......maybe 6 or 7. 😋👍

Been going there over 40 yrs and still good

This review is from July 2020 with the new ownership. I've been going here for 40 years regularly and this is the first time my order was incorrect and on top of that the woman at the counter was not friendly at all and seemed confused by my order. Ordered 6 and 2 cheeseburgers. The toppings on all 8 items were wrong. The hot dog rolls were soggy with grease. The shakes are the same price but seemed to have shrunk dramatically and definitely not the same quality. Sad to say well never be back.

Best dogs in NW Jersey

I used to live down the street and ate here all the time. I still stop by whenever I'm in the area. Don't let the outside appear fool you - this place is a NJ treasure. The way the hot dogs are made is delicious

You might say I’m biased but I’m really not. Best hot dog in the area and seriously one of the only places you get Breyer’s ice cream in your milkshake. If you’re not into hot dogs there’s plenty more to be had (steaks, burgers, even pork roll). Sorry, no fries, but with the vast variety of snacks and chips they also sell, you won’t miss them. Don’t be intimidated by the line or the owner - it’s worth it. Oh, and bring cash. No credit cards accepted.

This place has me torn, hot dogs are good but minimal toppings the shakes are very good. Here comes the but, the owner is a miserable old man. All three stops here he has been a grouchy human.

I've only ever tried the hot dogs here, but they are the best I've ever had! The hotdogs have a perfect texture and aren't overly soggy, with an amazing flavor that pairs with any topping. I would definitely recommend you get hot dogs here!

If you like hot dogs and the pickle, onion mustard version, Toby's Cup is the place to go. Their cheesesteaks are amazing and so are their shakes. I stopped here whenever I can.

Down to the change in your pocket? Your stomach is running on empty? Toby's has filled my cavity for years! A hot dog only the Lehigh Valley can appreciate.

In 25 years of visiting this place, I have yet to have a better hotdog

Recently ordered take out from Tobys AFTER NEW MANAGEMENT. I have to say the hot cheesesteak and 4 hot dogs I ordered are identical to how they looked/tasted before new ownership. Staff Is still friendly. A lot of new additions but nothing has been gotten rid of. All the favorites still remain. Still the best hot dog joint NJ (maybe the east coast) by far.

Not the same. Owner very rude

Went to Toby's on July 27th 2020 , my daughter got a chocolate banana milkshake It was AMAZING. We returned on the 28th and were told they weren't making milkshakes due to the Corona virus. I'm a little confused 🤔 you can serve me a hotdog that you touch with no gloves on, but you can't make a milkshake? Even though you did yesterday and last week??We will be glad to take our business to Jimmy's on 25th street in Easton.

Been getting my hot dog fix here for nearly 40 years. Still the best! 2 hot dogs with mustard, pickle & onions. Washed down with a thick Black & White shake. Other hot dogs just don’t compete with Toby’s. They’re perfect!

This place is a classic. It hasn't changed too much since it opened, & neither have the prices. For 4 hot dogs with the works and 2 sodas only came out to $7.20, you can't beat that. The hotdogs are crisp & delicious because they are deep fried in oil to cook. This place is a Jersey treasure.

Old Skool hot dog joint served up 'Jersey Style'

Toby's is the best place around to get hot dogs. The day I was in you could see how much the owner cares for his customers. The person in front of me he talked to by name, knew everyone's order, as well as asked about her knew baby that has not been released from the hospital. Not many people take the time to really get to know their customers in today's world. It was great to see.

Never changes Always good

Must have the cheesesteak sandwich when you go here. An absolute classic sandwich that is consistent and unbeatable!

No frills, simple little place, only had the hot dogs and they were tasty and well cooked. Chili is decent. Didn't have relish, which was weird, but overall if you like regular ol' hot dogs, it's a good spot.
